Reforming Graduate Medical Education to Meet the Needs of the Public

In May 2011, the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation will convene representatives from academic medicine and health care to discuss the reforms needed in graduate medical education (GME) to produce a workforce that can better meet the public’s health care needs. Over three days, invited thought leaders will examine the pedagogy, content, assessment, site and duration of graduate medical education. Conference proceedings will be published following the event and made available on the Foundation’s website.
